Loyola Law Professor Theodore P. Seto recently published an article that reports the results of a nationwide study of junior and mid-level partners at the 100 largest U.S. law firms. It identifies both the top 50 feeder schools to the NLJ 100 nationwide and the top 10 feeder schools to those same firms in each of the country’s ten largest legal markets.

John H. Ray III filed the case on Aug. 2 in Massachusetts claiming that he was treated as a "token black associate," and that in response to a previous complaint to the EEOC, the firm retaliated against him by locking him out of his office, denying him substantive work, and not providing references as previously agreed. 
In its investigation of Ray's previous complaint, the EEOC determined there was no statutory violation on the part of Ropes & Gray, but the firm did retaliate against Ray following his complaint.
